MEC CENTER® is a TESI
AUTAMOZIONE initiative that accredits Microsoft
Office Specialist iQcenters that want to deliver
classroom training on Microsoft® Office applications
for candidates wanting to take and pass Microsoft
Office Specialist certification exams. MEC CENTERS® use
Microsoft Office Specialist Approved Courseware and
have teaching staff Microsoft Office Specialist Authorized
Instructor and/or Microsoft Office Specialist Master
Instructor qualifications.
2 What
advantages does the MEC CENTER® program offer?
There are many advantages for a Microsoft Office Specialist
iQcenter that becomes an accredited MEC CENTER®:
- Accreditation as a Training Center that provides
training on Microsoft® Office applications for Microsoft
Office Specialist certification
- Use of the MEC CENTER® logo reviewed on a global
level by the Microsoft ® Corporation (USA)
- Visibility on the www.moscert.com site as an accredited
MEC CENTER® training center
- Participation in marketing and communications
initiatives such as: fairs, events, workshops, meetings
etc.
- Active participation in Microsoft Office Specialist
Training and Certification plans developed by TESI
on a regional and/or national level
- A link from the www.moscert.com site to the center’s
own web pages detailing the training and certification
services offered
- Use of the Microsoft Press Microsoft Office Specialist
Courseware manuals for classroom training
- Training for Commercial staff and/or teaching
staff regarding the delivery of training services
for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification
program
3 Who can benefit
from the MEC CENTER® initiative?
Microsoft Office Specialist iQcenters
that deliver IT training (including professional level
training) aimed at candidates taking Microsoft Office
Specialist certification exams. The centers who apply
should have several years of experience in providing
training on Microsoft® Office applications.

5 What
marketing tools are available to support the MEC
CENTER® program?
Visibility on the site provides publicity
and acts as a quality-assurance reference. Involvement
in national promotional programs, a letter of reference,
the MEC CENTER® nameplate, training support material,
mailing list and periodic newsletter plus marketing
material and brochures regarding the Microsoft Office
Specialist Training and Certification program.
6 What
human resources do you need to be accredited?
A MEC
CENTER® must have at
least two (2) trainers with the Microsoft Office
Specialist Authorized Instructor and/or Microsoft
Office Specialist Master Instructor qualification,
specialized sales staff with experience in selling
training programs for Microsoft Office Specialist certification,
and administrative staff to organize courses and schedule
the exams. This is necessary to ensure competent and
professional customer service for candidates requiring
training to help them pass Microsoft Office Specialist
certification exams.
7 What
physical and logistical resources do you need to be
accredited?
Classrooms must be comfortable, well-lit,
sound-proof, and should have air conditioning. They
must also meet the minimum hardware requirements( see
site – , click iQcenter and select Minimum
Requirements) and have a marketing area that advertises
training courses for Microsoft Office Applications
and Microsoft Office Specialist Certification exams.

are the criteria for inclusion in the MEC
CENTER® Program?
Admission to the MEC
CENTER® Program
is by invitation only. Admission criteria take account
of various factors such as: minimum requirements, company
profile, and geo-marketing factors (population density,
other MEC CENTER® in the same area, etc.).
9 If
a company has more than one training center, can they
all be part of the MEC
CENTER® program?
Where a single company has more than
one center as a local area or branch office, each center
can become a MEC CENTER®, but only if it meets
the minimum requirements and has the necessary human
and physical/logistical resources.
10 What
didactic support material do MEC
CENTER® use for Microsoft
Office Specialist training courses?
MEC CENTER® can use the course
material from the Microsoft Press Microsoft Office
Specialist Courseware series. This courseware is
only available to the Microsoft Office Specialist channel.
The includes
Instructor and Student manuals that use all the most
advanced training technologies. The product is supplied
in Student Kit form which includes: the course-book,
an Attendance Certificate, Microsoft Office Specialist
gadgets and others useful tools to help the students
pass the Microsoft Office Specialist certification
exam.
